Keisha is an Eastmont High School 2012 graduate who also happens to be my senior intern! Keisha is heading to Eastern this fall and has spent her summer hard at work assisting me with my senior shoots as well as working at 4am in the orchards picking cherries, hence the killer tan! Keisha’s passion for photography has earned her a role on the yearbook staff documenting the everyday happenings during the school year. Keisha and two other friends, Aubryann and Natalie started a project called the self worth project, which had a huge impact on her school. They began photographing students who wrote their fears, insecurities, and doubts on themselves to showcase the fact that everyone has something they struggle with. I find their project incredibly inspiring and am honored to share her story, not to mention they used photography as a means to spread a positive message amongst their peers! I love it when students seek to make a positive difference within their community!
