My first stop was Owl Soda Fountain and Gifts where kiddos enjoyed their lunchtime sundaes. Next, Arlberg Sports to scout out some new running gear. Then over to my new favorite store in town Tumbleweed Bead Co. where I spent a great deal of time mingling, shopping, and planning my senior open house! Tumbleweed has got to be the cutest little jewelry shop that is decorated with vintage and re-purposed furniture and accented with tons of color! Did I mention their AWESOME service! At one point Tyler, one of the owners offered to walk a customer to a nearby shop, that’s a linchpin right there!!

After an hour or two I ventured into Performance Footwear where I was greeted by a few gals and was offered help! I wasn’t sure what I wanted but, I knew I had a one day only 20% off coupon burning a hole in my wallet so I tried on a super cute pair of shoes! After chatting for a few minutes I decided to look for a new outfit for the Wenatchee Marathon and my trip to San Diego! I not only received first class service I was outfitted by their Lole rep who picked out fun outfits for me based on my shape and likes! Seriously I was in heaven, that’s the kind of service I love and remember! I even won a fun Lole belt just for trying on some super cute clothes!

My last stop was at Elements Salon and Spa, what an hour well spent! I received a complimentary 15 minute massage, mini manicure, facial consult, a quick hair style, and even a makeover! The perfect ending to my day of shopping! What more could I ask for!

Let’s talk about this reception!  My two favorite things were the food and the auction! The event was catered by Inna’s Cuisine and Fame two fantastic restaurants downtown Wenatchee!  The last event of the evening was the auction, this is what really interested me! They were auctioning off a 3 month training membership to CrossSport Performance in Wenatchee! After an entertaining demonstration I knew I wanted it! I was the highest bidder and came home ready to begin my 3 month training program!! I am on day 5 at CrossSport and LOVE every minute of it!!

Elizabeth Holt, Wenatchee Downtown Associations Assistant Director deserves a HUGE congratulations for coordinating such a fun event! This event is a must next year!! You don’t realize how awesome these businesses are until you really take the time to know them, shop local and keep your money in the community!!

I had friends who would write to me and ask what the heck I was doing posting things on facebook at 2 or 3am, then again at 7am when I was getting ready for work..I didn’t think much of it at the time, I felt sleep was over-rated.  I was told a month or so ago that I am a candle that doesn’t quit burning, yes I agree, but this candle finally found her dimmer!

The turning point for me was when my little guy began acting out at school, I thought O my’ what have I done, who is raising this child, ME? That was the end! I made a decision to focus my energy on my family and self renewal…It sounds silly, but when you honestly don’t know what day or time it is because time starts melting together things begin to suffer and my family was the first to feel its affects!

I have made significant changes to my daily routine and they all revolve around creating and maintaining a structurally sound, healthy family! Here are just a few things that have brought us closer:

Sleep, the park, gymnastics, swim lessons, Will’s broken leg, p90x, friends, family, gardening, laundry, reading, cooking, and quality time!

Will woke up around 2am and came and crawled into bed with us.  I woke up to a few slaps across the face saying “wake up mommy” as I turned to look at Will he looked me in the eyes and said “Mom, your my best friend”! The most magical thing a child can tell you! I can assure you if I was living the life I was before I would have never heard those words!
